About Me: Since 1991, I have served as a middle school teacher, coach, assistant principal, and principal in 3 districts spanning Wyoming and Colorado. As an undergraduate, I majored in Political Science, minored in English, and earned a certificate in Secondary Education. I then attended Chadron State College to earn a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration. I enjoy serving as the principal of Mrachek Middle School and partnering with students and families to ensure every student has the opportunity to shape his/her future.
My job is to accelerate learning for every student, every day. I do my job by building caring relationships with and among students, staff, and parents to create a safe, rigorous, and engaging learning environment. My community needs me to do my job.
Brittney Cardwell - Assistant Principal
About Me: I am a native of New Mexico and have twin boys (Swayze and Anderson) that keep my husband and I very busy.
I have a Bachelor’s degree in University Studies with an emphasis on English Comparative Literature, and a Master’s degree in Administrative Leadership and Policy Studies.
I am proud to be part of the Mrachek team and look forward to serving my community!

Jessica Johnson - Assistant Principal
About me: I am a Colorado Native. I grew up in Elizabeth Colorado and still live locally in Lone Tree, CO. I enjoy spending time with family, my dog Chester, my cat Sassy, and enjoying all that Colorado has to offer!

I do my job by serving as an educator who believes that all students should be afforded an equitable and inclusive educational experience and upholding my belief that mental health supports and Social-Emotional Learning should be embodied in all practices for staff and students.
