Welcome to our NEW Mrachek Building!

Students and staff at many schools returned to their buildings this month to find new bond-funded construction and improvements that were completed over the summer.

Mrachek Middle School

Construction for Mrachek’s replacement school started last spring and continued through the summer. The foundation for the new building has been poured and walls are starting to rise. Work on the new building will continue throughout the school year and is scheduled for completion next summer.

Aurora voters approved the $300 million bond measure in November 2016 to fund new construction, building improvements and technology enhancements at all schools, which benefit all students in the district. To learn more about APS bond projects, visit
