There are two tiers of eligibility:
- Eligibility to start athletics
- Eligibility to remain in athletics
Eligibility to start athletics include:
- Current sports physical on the official CHSAA form
- All four pages with all sections filled out
- Signature of physician and date of exam
- Stamp of facility giving the physical
- Sports Fee Paid ($35 per sport per athlete)
- Online registration in Infinite Campus
Eligibility to remain in athletics include:
- Student-First, Athlete-Second behavior in class demonstrating TITANS characteristics. Infractions include but are not limited to referrals to dean, in-school suspension, out-of-school suspension.
- Good grades with no more than 1 F during the eligibility week.
- Solid attendance with no more than two unexcused tardies in the eligibility week and no unexcused absences.
Eligibility is run once a week on Wednesday. The eligibility week runs from Wednesday to Wednesday. If your child is ineligible to participate in either practice or games, the athletic director (AD) will communicate with you.
Levels of ineligibility might include:
- Suspension due to poor grades:
- As soon as grades improve, athletes are immediately eligible to return to competition.
- Suspension due to behavior:
- Limited Play Time
- Removal from competition for one week
- Removal from competition and practice for one week
- Removal from the team for the season
- Suspension due to attendance:
- If more than two unexcused tardies or one or more unexcused absences, removal from competition for one week. Athletes should continue to attend practice.
- Students must attend one-half (three periods) of the school day on game day in order to be considered eligible to play in games.
