Mrachek Middle School is proud to announce that it is to be one of the new Galaxy Initiative program schools beginning in the 2009 - 2010 year.  The purpose of this program is to increase the number of Aurora Public Schools students who continue to higher education to pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).

Students can apply to be part of this program by downloading the form listed below on this page.  30 students per grade level will be admitted into the program, where they will receive enriched educational experiences in the STEM areas, particularly emphasizing on the Engineering portion.  The students may have extended learning opportunities after school and on Saturdays throughout the year.  Some of these activities will be hosted by members of our business community.
